Hello Kitty [People]

Check out this ad, featured in Orlando magazine where I work under the Directors of Sales and Marketing, which I created for a CATS promotion. Not only will it get CATS-loving consumers excited about the prospect of free tickets, but it will increase traffic to the magazine's website as well. Smart move, I know.

Look for it in the October '09 issue of Orlando magazine, which you best have a subscription to -- especially if you live in the area. It's only 20 bucks for the whole year. If you don't get the mag, holler at me. I got the hook up.

A Postcard to Be Proud Of

At event planning company E-Events, it's all about inspiration. And what better way to inspire brides and potential clients to hire the E-Events team than with an inspiring postcard?

Mailed and used as a leave-behind, this postcard gets the job done. It showcases and describes the team's talent in a very classy and sophisticated way. Designed by Amy Morelli with copy by yours truly, this memorable postcard has inspired countless clients to turn to E-Events for its wedding planning expertise.

Kind of a Big Deal

A big deal to George Washington University's DC alumni and avid politicos everywhere, author and presidential advisor David Gergen was chosen to speak at GWU's Luther Rice Society's upcoming alumni event. Due to the clout of the guest of honor, an impressive invitation was required. So the Society contacted me, and I delivered.

The invite required not only the approval of the LRS team but Gergen and his people as well. In addition, the Society wanted to announce the revelation of two new professional organizations: its Political and Entertainment & Media alliances. Despite the many aims of this clean, magazine-cover-like invitation, we were able to exceed everyone's expectations. Talk about a vote of confidence!

Luther Cheers On Another Effective Invite

When the George Washington University's Luther Rice Society began preparing for an LA Dodgers game alumni event, they knew who to call for the perfect invitation. Staying inside the society's brand perameters, we hit this one out of the park to ensure the event would be a home run as well. Per usual, the ol' ball game event drew quite a crowd and was a smashing success.

A Cousin's Work is Never Done

The Invitation:
The Info Card:

The Reply Card:

I recently helped my cousin complete and produce her wedding invitations, which turned out to be truly amazing! Printed on high-end shimmering cardstock and mailed in a matching shimmery envelope, the invites have received nothing but compliments. So I am proud to announce yet another job well done!

Big News

The Event Signage:

The Evite:
The Program:Perhaps the largest and most important event The George Washington University's Luther Rice Society hosts all year, the Washington, DC alumni gathering requires extra planning -- and collateral. This year's event, which drew even more alumni than expected thanks to our innovative invites, was held at the Newseum and enjoyed extraordinary success.

In addition to invitations, I wrote and oversaw the production of the signage, programs, a follow-up postcard, and even the entire script for the event's speakers. Talk about a big job! Thankfully it all came together beautifully!

Happy Client = Happy Copywriter

When you got it, you got it. Hence the reason I was commissioned to complete this evite for The George Washington University's Luther Rice Society. They have been so happy with the work (and working relationship) to date that they keep coming back for more, which is a huge compliment!

An Epic Project

Here is another project I wrote and managed for The George Washington University -- specifically for the school's Luther Rice Society consisting of alumni/donors. Created for a highly anticipated and heavily attended event at Miami's waterfront Epic Hotel, this evite was a hit with the client and its guests. Cheers to a job well done!

In a Liga its Own

Another day. Another project. Abby Liga of Liga Photography commissioned me to help write a bride-friendly booklet detailing her services and style. In addition to outlining potential clients' options with regard to wedding photo ops, the book emphasizes Abby's professional expertise, personal approach, and photographer-subject rapport.

The designer of this project: Amy Morelli of The 2u Collection, with photography of course by Abby Liga.

Too Sweet! For Words

Another event I concepted, the TOO SWEET! TRUNK SHOW, is sure to attract quite a crowd. This might just be a rumor, but I heard Cupid himself would be making an appearance. And it's no wonder... I mean, look how cute the logo turned out!

Set to take place at Lavish Boutique in downtown Winter Park, Florida, the event will showcase more than designer lingerie for Valentine's Day. Other local companies like Cleanse Bath and Body and The 2u Collection, whose owner Amy Morelli created the logo and invites for the trunk show, will be there to display their Valentine-worthy wares as well.

A Good Cause for Pro-Bono

Even rebels do good from time to time. That's why I did a little pro-bono work, coming up with the concept for a charity event to raise money for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. My theme: A GOOD CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION.

Amy Morelli of The 2u Collection designed the invites -- both the electronic (above) and printed versions -- and each came out beautifully. The successful event, hosted in Baldwin Park, featured catering, cocktails, shopping and a fashion show to collect money for the organization.

E-vite Gold

Here's an e-vite I recently completed for The George Washington University. One of my best friends hired me to create it for an event hosted by the university's Luther Rice Society.  Sent electronically to hundreds of GW alumni in Florida, the invitation informs society members of a special dinner at Prime 112, which is among Miami's hottest restaurants.

Featuring an eye-catching out-of-the-box design and cool copy, the invite infuses the society's brand standards with swank South Florida style. Within 24 hours of presenting this baby, I was asked to produce a large printed postcard for the same event. What can I say, except that I have the Midas touch?

For Me. From Me. By Me.

Scope out this e-blast touting my professional copywriting services. Although I've written over 100 e-blasts, e-newsletters, e-vites, etc., this is the first one I've ever written to advertise, well, me. Amy from The 2u Collection's awesome assistant Heather designed it, and I think it came out really sweet. I have no doubt it will drum up more freelance copywriting business for me!

I Have My Very Own Blog

My good friend Amy from The 2u Collection brought me to the dark side. Thanks to her, I'll be keeping you up to date on all the fabulous work I do.
